As our Legal Counsel, based in the Czech Republic, you’ll be a core member of our in-house legal team in a global tech company, providing advice on a broad range of legal matters with a main focus on commercial agreements and the compliance agenda focused mainly on data protection and AI governance. You’ll work with real autonomy \u2014 owning contract negotiations and legal analysis directly rather than assisting on them \u2014 while helping build internal processes in a successful, fast-growing business and applying a modern approach to in-house legal, including the latest legal tech tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What you’ll be responsible for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Revising and drafting commercial contracts and customised versions of template documents<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Leading contract negotiations with customers and suppliers<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Owning and improving the compliance agenda<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Maintaining and updating the contract repository in our legal tool<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Preparing legal analysis covering a range of legal matters, including more complex or ambiguous questions<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Providing legal support to the sales team throughout the whole contracting process<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Identifying and driving improvements to internal legal processes and templates<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Working closely with other teams on the wider daily legal agenda<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Reporting directly to the company’s Director of Legal Affairs<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What you need:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Master’s degree in law<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Minimum 3 years of work experience as an in-house counsel or at a law firm<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Strong working knowledge of Czech and EU legislation<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 General knowledge of IT law and data protection law, especially GDPR<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Excellent English skills, written and verbal, including legal English \u2014 we’re an international team and English is our official language<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Very good communication, drafting, and negotiating skills, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of matters end to end<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Experience with AI tools is a strong plus<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Proactive mindset \u2014 comfortable identifying opportunities for improvement without being asked<\/p>\n\n\n\n
