Francesca Sorrentino is the Localization Director at Phrase, the global leader in AI-powered localization technology. She applies her extensive expertise in translation and localization to facilitate global business connections. Holding a Bachelor's Degree in Translation and Interpreting and a Master’s Degree in Conference Interpreting, Francesca started her career in localization soon after graduation. Her professional journey includes significant roles in the video game industry and with language service providers, and her contributions span consulting, events, and community management.
In her current role at Phrase, Francesca is responsible for designing effective localization strategies and processes. She manages the integration of these processes across the company using the Phrase Localization Platform. Her direct involvement has been instrumental in advancing knowledge sharing and enhancing customer experiences. In 2022, she founded LocLeaders, a network aimed at promoting best practices and fostering innovation among localization professionals.
Prior to joining Phrase, Francesca held leadership positions in several gaming and consumer electronics companies, including wooga GmbH, Bigpoint GmbH, Alpha Games, and notably, EA (Electronic Arts). Outside of her professional life, Francesca is a certified yoga teacher and personal coach, currently enjoying life in sunny Barcelona.
